Double Win for Marston’s at the Great British Pub Awards

29th September 2025

It was a proud night for Marston’s at the Great British Pub Awards, with two of our pubs taking home top accolades at the prestigious ceremony.

Leading the celebrations was The Manor House of Whittington, crowned Marston’s Pub of the Year 2025. The pub was praised by the judges for truly embodying Marston’s values, delivering unforgettable guest experiences, forging deep community ties, and setting the standard for operational excellence every day.

On winning the award, the pub’s General Manager Chris Todd, said:

“This year, The Manor House of Whittington has continued to be the heart of the Kinver community - a role it’s proudly played for more than 700 years. Our real success comes from doing the basics exceptionally well, serving great food and drinks, offering warm, personal service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.

“This award is a real recognition of the hard work the team puts in every day.”

The second win of the night came courtesy of The Old Duke, Southport, whose team was recognised for going the extra mile for both guests and their four-legged friends, picking up the national award for Best Pub for Dogs.

Neil Campbell, Chief Operations Officer at Marston’s, added:

“Huge congratulations to The Manor House of Whittington and The Old Duke, Southport - two fantastic pubs that truly embody what Marston’s is all about.

“These awards celebrate the heart of British pub culture, from warm welcomes and memorable experiences to inclusive spaces and genuine community spirit. We’re proud to have our pubs recognised as some of the best in the country and to see the passion and dedication of our hardworking teams acknowledged in front of the best and brightest stars of our industry.”

The winners were announced at the Great British Pub Awards ceremony held in Leeds, where pubs from across the UK were celebrated for their contributions to the industry.
